Power to the People

The frost is still with us, very deep and crisp and even it is too,

So to get warm we set of on a big walk through the woods and around the hill in perfect winter weather. Took some pics, see above, got home, made tea - then the power went off.

Nothing at all.

It seems there was a major problem affecting about one thousand houses around this area of the Highlands.

Emergency checklist was pulled out.

Candles - check
Stoves lit and warm - check
Generator working- check
Gas stove working - check
Kelly Kettle boiling - check
All present and correct.

Christine our friend and neighbour popped over and stayed for the evening.

So in the end it turned out nice and cosy.
