oxalis

Up at daybreak getting ready to set of for Edinburgh when the suns rays lit up the room, and the oxalis on the windowsill took on this magic glow. Just picked up the camera and rattled off a photo "en passant" as I went out the door. Having high hopes for the day. Should have known better ; the old highland saying "too bright too early!" was meant for days like this. By the time I reached the inevitable traffic jam in Edinburgh ,the rain had begun and I realised my quick photo would have to do!
