Renae

A rare treat to have a willing model to practice portraits. Renae is very laid back and just moved around, answered her phone, and had a variety of looks on her face. Finding a decent background a problem and I didn't want the sunglasses on her head and so forth.

I took it with the macro lens on a setting that said it was for soft skin and portraits. The editing I did little except choose a Lightroom preset for sharpening the face in colour and in Silverefex for the mono. I cloned out a glasses leg and some spots and cloned in the lefthand bushes. I wasn't sure what else I needed to do. Suggestions welcomed.

We were at a nieces place for a family pot luck lunch. Renaes sister Georgia just back from Nepal and managed to get a weekend home before continuing her medical studies.

Samuel who is nearly five had us playing soccer and cricket before lunch but too hot afterwards. He likes to take the ice cream orders and deliver them in cones to each person chatting to each one as he goes.
