Sunbathing Cushat.
Sorry Sunbathing Wood Pigeon! Growing up in Cumbria (well Cumberland as it was then) and having a mother who was an expert on the dialect we naturally spoke it a lot. Cushat was the dialect name for Wood Pigeons.
We were out at the Lodge doing the final cleaning and getting ready for the next guests. As they aren't due for a month we will probably need to go back at times.
While wandering round looking for a blip I spotted this Cushat sun bathing in next door's garden. I managed this sneaky shot before it decided it wasn't keen on paparazzi and walked away to the other end of the garden before settling down again.
