Twelve Hours Late

Travel day back to Arizona. It went like this:

3:45 am (ET) - Get up, shower, eat, finish packing
5:50 am - Leave for Buffalo-Niagra Falls International Airport
6:00 am - Return car rental, check- in baggage, get wheelchair, go to gate
6:30 am- Board plane
7:10 am - Pilot announces mechanical problems
7:35 am - Pilot announces mechanics arrived at plane
8:15 am - Flight attendants de-board passengers traveling to Phoenix, Reno, Los Angeles
8:30am - All passengers de-plane
9:30 am - All passengers (except me) are put on new flights
10:00 am - I am given new flight for 5;55 pm and $100 voucher for flight within next year.
Noon - Brother picks me up at airport to take me back to his house where I sleep for three hours.
4:00 pm - Return to airport, reach for phone to call friend in AZ who is picking me up and realize I left it at brother's house.
5:25 pm- Board plane, flight is free of problems, connect through Chicago and fly to Tucson.
12:15 am ET (9:15pm MT) Arrive Tucson International Airport
12:58 am ET (9:58 pm MT) Arrive home. I unpack in the morning.

Almost exactly twelve hours later than scheduled. It was a long day.

Wish I could say it is good to be home.
