Imminent autumn

For the first time in nearly two weeks I was able to walk in Halswell Quarry Park this morning!

It was used as a staging post for helicopters and fire crews for 11 days, as they fought the Port Hills fire.

Last evening the cordon was lifted.  I discovered that while we were 'away', autumn has crept up on us in the park.
