It's a lonely job
What I really wanted to photograph today was scenes from an outdoors blues festival as it tends to attract a colorful crowd.
The crowd was there, for sure, but so was a prohibition on cameras and photography once inside the open amphitheater except for a few "professional" photogs (how "professional" is defined is still a mystery to me). So I had to turn around and leave my camera in the car.
I did notice that everyone with a smartphone was snapping away happily, but, I was told, 'this isn't real photography' (somewhere, there's vindication in that statement for all of us...) ;)
So instead, here's a pic of a sports photographer, at the end of a college volleyball game, which we caught later in the evening.
