Day 4 - Cousin's Visit

Big Buddha was on the agenda today. And also sadly Salman and Helena's last day in Hong Kong.

Headed to Tung Chung to catch the bus up to Ngong Ping as the cable cars are under maintenance.

The ride up there made Helena a big queasy, but thankfully nothing emerged! We walked up to the Buddha and enjoyed the views from the top. Then a vegetarian lunch at the monastery, cooked by the monks.

Back down on a better bus ride to Tung Chung MTR to head into town as Helena wanted to have drinks on a rooftop to appreciate Hong Kong from 'up there'. We didn't stay long at the Conrad hotel in Admiralty, before deciding we really needed to get home so they could pack.

I cooked dinner while they packed and we had a wonderful last meal with them.

I took them to the airport to say our final farewells. It has been really good having them and sharing our city with them. Hopefully they'll come back for longer next time.
