Wonderful Wests' Whelks of Whitstable

Brilliant day trip to Canterbury to visit Amy. We cycled to Whitstable. North Kent is surprisingly hilly, but as the weekend coincided with our annual cycling holiday, we took it on the chin and tackled the hills with gusto.

Whitstable was great: chips, sitting on benches, blackberry crumble ice cream (as good as it sounds), pootling around.

We didn't believe Amy's claim that Canterbury is rough, even though she has recently seen someone put his head through a shop window.

We did admire her pet axolotl though.
