Race Day....

The High Legh 10k Road race. And it couldn't get much wetter.
People took shelter wherever they could.
The school hall was packed, and at the 15 minute warm up call. ..... nobody moved.
10 minutes to go and the race director was begging runners to go outside and warm up...
Nobody moved.
With just minutes to go people finally got their get up and go and went for it.
Some less hardy soles (play on words there) preferred a Le Mans type start.
It was a brilliant race, even more remarkable because there were quite a few personal bests.
Me included.
