New shoes
Farrier Richard woke up the sparrows to come and do our horses today. He had been due Friday but had to change plans.
One (of many) great things about Richard is that he insists on doing the horses without any help. Most farriers here expect the owner to do all the leg lifting, which with three horses, gets to the back muscles. So long as he gets a cup of coffee and a piece of cake per horse, he is happy.
Although it turned out better than expected, not quite as warm as yesterday. Importantly it stayed dry.
After doing the walk while the horses were done, got to do a job I have been meaning to do for a year - set up a "security" camera in the horse stables, less for security reasons but more out of interest as to what happens during the night.
Our WiFi set up is less than optimal and although I have the gear to send the WiFi signal through the electricity circuit, the horse stables are on a completely separate circuit and I have zero knowledge of how electricity works and a fear of simply opening the electricity cupboard with its odd trip switches and strange screw in fuses.
Anyway played around with the position and eventually got it working. Seems that if a fly zooms past or a spider crawls by, the connection is broken but for the most part it works and made for an interesting evening of viewing what was going on.
