....and now the end........

The workforce finished yesterday....we sorted out their mess today.

The Daughter and I re-did the pointing, the Boss re-laid the decorative stone, I got rid of the five bags of stone, four bags of sand and one bag of cement they over ordered (and I paid for)....fortunately we can always use this type of stuff at the fishing hut.....we scraped up all the mud and soil they left all over the paths and the road outside.

Now all we have to do is wash down all the windows at the back of the house and the conservatory, wash down all the window frames, doors etc and sort out the mess that the garden has become.

So it's done.....after almost 22 years in this house we finally have the bathroom the Boss wanted.......the conservatory we've often talked about.....the loft access we needed......the new central heating boiler........and the extension to the patio to make up for what we lost with the conservatory......the turmoil that's been going on for three months is finally at an end.

The wallet is a lot lighter....we're knackered....the garden looks like a bomb site and there's several small jobs need doing to get the final perfection the Boss demands....but the big stuff is over.

Oh balls! I have to go back to work tomorrow!
