Hellebore
The garden seems to be full of hellebores right now. They self seed very readily, but any special varieties seem to get hybridised out of existence rapidly as well, so basically I've now got white ones, pink ones and a few deep burgundy ones. It's annoying the way they hang their heads so you hardly ever see into the flower without lying on the ground. That doesn't stop the early bumblebees making good use of them - at least two specimens of Bombus pratorum hurrying from one to another during the day. There was also a brief sighting of a Red Admiral - my second butterfly species this year.
