Snail Weather

We've had drizzly rain for much of the day, and it's been cold. 
The wet weather brought out this snail, who I spied on the outside of the bathroom window. I took it somewhere suitable to photograph it, then returned it to the window sill.

I can't kill snails, as I used to keep them as pets when I was a child.

We currently have a dead magpie wedged under the car - it flew straight into the car when we were out for a drive last weekend. It happened so quickly I didn't even have time to react.

We didn't realize it was under the car until we noticed the smell.
It now stinks to high heaven, and I have no idea how to get the jolly thing out.
