TINY TUESDAY
Spring is definitely on the way and it is good to see signs of new life all around. Outside our fence we have what we think is a plum tree and this is blossoming profusely, so I cut a couple of branches, so that I could take some photographs and also enjoy them on my kitchen windowsill.
After a lovely walk round the grounds of Stanton Park, we went for afternoon tea yesterday at the nearby hotel, Stanton House, and then went over to celebrate Josh’s 18th birthday with pizzas, so we are still feeling quite full this morning. We are going to have an easy day in the garden, cutting down and pruning and I think a jacket potato and salad will be plenty for our main meal.
Thank you for all your good wishes, kind comments, stars and hearts yesterday - we had a lovely day and evening after we had chatted about the “Golden” one next year, decided it might be as well for us both to make a list and see if there is something on there that we would both like to do. I have put a photograph of us that I took at Stanton House as an extra.
And the spring arose on the garden fair,
Like the spirit of love felt everywhere;
And each flower and herb on earth’s dark breast
Rose from the dreams of its wintry rest.
Percy Bysshe Shelley (1792-1822)
