New roof
Waverley Station's new roof is finally coming together - massive exercise in re-glazing the station - with what looks like proper glass rather than the perspex-style of covering that was pretty opaque as it got older!
Waverley Station in Edinburgh is the second biggest Railway Station in the UK, covering over 25 acres of space in the heart of the Scottish capital. Recent years have seen a notable investment in infrastructure improvements including this roof replacement programme, platform and concourse upgrades as well as improvements in facilities and entrance areas. All looking good ... but still not finished.
