Grass in the gutters and peeling paintwork on a relatively new building on Chapel Street in Aberdeen. The local "businessmen" behind this Holiday Inn franchise were glad to spend money running adverts earlier this year promoting public funding of private developments on public land. Their wallets are, however, tightly shut when it comes to maintenance and rather than spend a few hundred pounds with a local tradesman, they are happy to allow this exterior neglect detract from the City Centre.
