A pineapple on a slab
Not sure why exactly but it seemed a good idea at the time. Part of AWYMC #1Day12Pics and I was scratching about a bit for photo-ops between the showers.
Between all the photo taking Son 2 and I set to on the annual cull of the invasive hoards of Hyacinthoides x massartiana (hybrid native/Spanish bluebells) which, along with Crocus tommasinianus, has been gradually overwhelming the garden over the years. Some I don't mind and in fact wouldn't be without; when they grow EVERYWHERE (and I use that in its most absolute, everywhereist sense) they are both messy and destructive. I'm sure I should find better things to do with my time but I just can't sit and watch them smother all in their path. Especially when I have Son 2 owing me a favour.
