Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

Oh no! It's that hat again.

Archie's official birthday! (Party tomorrow). Our sweet, affectionate little puppy is now 21 in human years and full of fun and mischief. Though I must admit, he has become quite sensible in many ways:

He doesn't bark hysterically when the hoover is on.
He can watch the man in the hi-viz jacket on the scaffolding on the flats opposite, and not growl.
He can just look at other dogs in close proximity in a pub/cafe and not bark.
He can look at the canal and not jump in.

Today wasn't too much fun for him - he had a birthday haircut, shower and ear hair trim. But he also had a sneak preview of the special doggie cake (mainly peanut butter and grated carrots) for his party tomorrow. He's very excited. Though he doesn't look it...

I went to aquafit and the gym. Well done me. I also completed setting up my new iPad, and arranging the sale my old one. I can now lie on the sofa with Archie on top of me, and my new, dainty, iPad in one hand.

Many thanks for your kind words, stars and hearts on my 5th blipday yesterday! Too kind, especially as I had completely forgotten about it, and didn't do a special blipday entry.
