Yes yes no
No, nothing to do with The Vicar of Dibley (or was that ' no,no yes'?)
Last night 3 of us and dog trudged up a boggy hill in the moonlight with a weak windy-up torch, to Hadrian's Wall to see this art installation - Connecting Light - London 2012 Festival. There were to be 400 tethered weather balloons lit with internal LED lights which pulsated colours. Unfortunately the event had been cancelled at the location we were heading for, because of high winds. So we headed to Housesteads and managed to see a couple of balloons which were working and not deflated. I'm not sure the artist, Zachary Lieberman (from New York) realised how the changeable the weather is in these parts. However we did see plenty lit balloons, changing colour, along The Military Road on the way home. It really was lovely.
But even more special than that was seeing a' moonbow'. I'd never heard of such a thing but there was what looked like a white rainbow in the night sky - opposite the full moon. As we drove away the rain got a bit heavier and we could see the colours of the rainbow! It was incredible. I'm so glad we braved the elements. A memorable evening.
