Fisherman's Friend

The fishermen seem to have a special relationship with the waterfowl that swims around them as they fish from the dock or the shore. These two appeared to be walking along quite companionably with a very vociferous white goose just behind them. I took this picture just as they all caught sight of Ozzie.

It is hard to work up much interest in going out into the cold and rain for a walk, and although it was still cold and cloudy this morning, it wasn't actually raining so  we decided to add an extra lake to our walk this morning. Lake Ralphine is the favorite of lots of large waterfowl, probably because, despite requests not to, people still feed them. I didn't get the impression that the fishers were among them but the goose obviously took exception and let them know about it. He finally gave up on them and turned his attention to me, Despite the fact that Ozzie was standing next to me he posed very nicely for me. You can see him in the extra. He had quite a personality....

I think the sun has finally come out as I write this. I hope it stays out as I feel a bit in doldrums and am not finding it a good place to be....
