2017 Sunday -- Architecture

Several weeks ago, one evening when we were at our retirement home on California's Central Coast, Mr. Fun's phone lite-up with an instant message from Troy. He had not heard from Troy in a while. Troy wanted to know if Mr. Fun would possibly be available on Sunday, March 5 and again the following Sunday, March 12. I took a deep breath and sighed. I vividly remember the feeling of desperation when there is no one to be the fill-in, but now we were being asked to help someone by being the fill-in. Mr. Fun responded to Troy's message by telling him he could be the fill-in on March 5, but not the following Sunday.

So that's what brings us to this oldest building in our community this morning.
