Wonderment

I was trying to use one of my big lights but the remotes weren't working so I fell back on my speed light.

I ran a whole series of frames. This shot was from a run of about five that I decided to edit in Photogene.

I like the sense of wonderment, amazement and curiosity.

Lois looks so pretty here. She denies this and thinks she looks ugly. I explain that we all see and hear ourselves differently to how others see and hear. She may be many, many things. Ugly is not one of those.

I enjoyed the simplicity of making this image and am happy with the results. There is nothing too complex going on here technically. Most of the heavy lifting was done in the initial capture. I did some adjustments in curves, cropped a bit and vignetted. Photogene is a sub £2 app and the Pro version, which I have, is only £5.49.

I like playing with this close up composition style so if anyone wants to volunteer?
