western grey kangaroo

We saw plenty of these in the Flinders Ranges area around Wilpena Pound and here, on the slopes of Mt Remarkable in Melrose.
They come out at dawn and dusk but we also found some resting in the shade of red river gum trees in the dry creeks.
This is the first time we've been into the arid interior of Australia and we loved it, however I wouldn't have wanted to live there in the days before air conditioning.
