Magnolia campbellii

I decided to visit Bicton Park this morning to retake some of the shots I took last week but this time taking my tripod.  I had all the right equipment (I was missing the plate to attach the camera to the tripod last time) but I arrived at the same time as two coach loads of tourists.  Unfortunately the greenhouses which were my main target are close to the entrance.  The constant stream of people interrupted my flow so a visit later this week may be on the cards. 

I did have time to discover this magnificant Magnolia which has enormous very deep pink flowers, it was a lovely sight.   It may be Magnolia campbellii sub species mollicomata
