I went to see the Travel Photography of the Year exhibition today. It's so inspiring to see so many beautiful images that capture the essence of travel. I love travelling more than anything in the world and, although I know I've been really lucky to go to so many brilliant countries in the past few years, there are still so many more I want to go to. The photos in the exhibition are an inspiration because they look at the world in a different way to the typical or expected one. If there is a picture of the Taj Mahal, it is a world away from the typical shot that a million people have taken before. I bought three of the books with entries from the past few years, which I know are going to be great companions when I'm sat in my flat dreaming of my next big trip...
