Siskin

A miserable day with heavy rain and a chilly wind.We did see some rainbows though and the birds were busy at the feeders including the goldfinches and siskins that seem to eat so much.One little siskin hit the window and fall down so I had to go outside to rescue it knowing that there are so many predators about at the moment I could nt risk leaving it there. I picked it up gently and the little, warm bundle of feathers sat in my hand for about 10 minutes and then flew off into the trees.
Had a nice dip in the Puffin Pool this morning, Anne is working on Friday so can't go to our usual session but we managed to get some Wednesday slots :)
