Yellow
Had lunch with some girlfriends from church today, then three of us went to visit a lady aged 91 from our church family who is now in a nursing home. We had a lovely afternoon with her remembering times gone by, in particular hearing of her experiences during the Second World War. She enjoyed telling her stories and we had many laughs.
Our minister instigated a visitors' book for her, (this is apart from the security visitors book held by the home), which she loves as she can look back at the different little messages in it when she is alone. It serves another purpose though. She has no relatives nearby and the church family try to make sure she has visitors. We can tell how often she is being visited by this book and can take action if necessary to make sure she has plenty of company.
A very pleasant day, sunny although a rather cold wind.
