I think I want to cry

A standard St Davids day dinner has leek and potato soup followed by a meat main course accompanied by potatoes.
Literally speaking, that is what our dinner in Paris tonight was........ but it was so much more. The soup, though labelled leek and potato was outrageously delicious and the steak that followed out of this world.; the five kinds of potatos made this tuberous "earth apple"seem like the king of vegetables. The whole meal was breathtaking.
It seems that my peasant Welsh ancestors cannot compete with Parisian flair when it comes to food.
