Here's to women & friendship!

I have a good friend that I've known for well over 30 years.  Our paths have intersected many times, then with periods of us going off on our own trails and for the past 10 years have once again run parallel.  I love the depth and richness of our friendship.  The history we have in knowing each others stories. We are so different from each other and often are poles apart in how we think and yet the common denominator is love.  Love first.  A love that is willing to overlook each others flaws and faults and choose to see the best in each other. Several years ago, we decided to start meeting for a weekly coffee or lunch date.  Even though there have been times where it hasn't worked to meet for various reasons, it is something that we've held and cherished and have been intentional about protecting our coffee dates.  

So today, in celebration of international women's day, cheers to women and friendship.  Both new and old!
