ANOTHER McGREDY:

This rose nearly cost me a divorce. With a friend we had a yearly slot doing the church flowers. When it was our turn she always brought literally several buckets of Auckland Metro (that is all she grew !) they have very long stems & are a decorators dream. They looked so spectacular I just had to buy five bushes of my own. But where to plant them ? My garden was already full. So I snuck them in my husbands vegetable garden. Understandably he was not a happy chappy. The riot act was read & it was a case of you go, or the roses go. Ironically in time, he went & I still have the roses growing in his vegetable garden. He was a lovely man & I miss him.
