Taj Mahal

Now in Lucknow on 11 March and able to post the right photo. I hope you can gett an idea of how busy it was there as people streamed up to the Taj.

We arrived at the Taj Mahal at 11.30am. All the tour buses who do the sunrise slot had gone and we joined all the Indian groups and families. There were scouts and guides, elderly ladies in their bright saris with their daughters and grandchildren, some very Western dressed young Indian girls taking selfies in all directions and lots of dignified gentlemen! The Taj close up is stunning. Once again as in 2011 I did not pose on Princess Diana's seat.

Anyway we are staying in another palace tonight. Not as nice as yesterday's but we have just had the best meal of the holiday.

Off on a boat trip tomorrow to do a bit of birdwatching!.
