Two More Deer

The deer are still playing very shy down the wood. Can't blame them really as their habitat is getting knocked down and pretty badly chewed up by the big forestry machine. These two took one look and ran for it. I aimed and shot as quick as I could so it was not until a few minutes ago that I realised that I had caught one in mid jump. When they vanished through that hedge, we followed along the field edge but there was no sign of them in the field on the far side. Just vanished. Disappeared. Gone.
Rona makes no effort to catch the deer. She seems to know that she has not a snowballs chance in hell of getting anywhere near them so she just ignores them completely.
Anyway, our morning walk was followed by a visit to Stirling University for a wander round Airthrey Loch before heading to M&S in Dunblane for a few odds & ends then home for lunch.
Spent most of the afternoon pottering in the garden, helping MaggieD put in a couple of new plants and then taking down and emptying our hanging baskets. The "Summer" weather has been most unkind to them and they have not been able to develop as they should. As mould was beginning to set in, we decided that enough was enough. Shame, but thats the way it goes sometimes.
Anyway, it will soon be time to stretch our legs with Rona once more and that will be the end of the weekend once more.
