King and Queen ...
... by Henry Moore, at Tate Britain in London; I adore the shadows. The museum has a wonderful collection of works by Moore (1898-1986)-- in my opinion certainly the greatest British sculptor of the twentieth century, and one of the very best from anywhere. We were at the gallery with our friend Liz, and had hoped to go to a David Hockney exhibition; however the timed tickets were sold out until too late in the day for us. Luckily we were able to pick up a pair for tomorrow afternoon and I'll report then. We had dinner with our friends Susan and David, whom we regularly see on this side of the pond, whether here or in Paris.
