Starting to curl up

A sign that it has done its dash and is dying off. The stamens are brown rather than golden yellow and have little pollen on them. The petals are quite hairy.

The japanese anemone are at their best at the moment. I chased two very small bumble bees around but they wouldn't stay while I was there. They were neat to watch as they circle the stamens in a clockwise direction then on to the next one.

One problem with anemones is there are so many of them and to get a clear shot difficult which is why I have done a close crop. I'll put the fuller photo as an extra but as soon as it was up all I could see was the bud blob so I cropped hard.
