Uneventful train ride to Lancaster. Beautiful scenery, golden sunlight. Bus fortuitously awaiting my arrival. Lunch with one of the organisers of the ITMOC MSc - beet and butternut salad. A lively class of international students.

To Lucy & Joop's in the centre of town. All the kids too - Olly, Elsa, Freya and Fabian - plus Rachel from Leeds. Homey banter around the table and a great spread of cauliflower daal. Very pleasant.
