Marsh Harrier
Backblip.
It was a lovely sunny day so we planned a coastal walk from Silverdale. As there was a morning high tide it had to be done later in the day.
We decided to pop to Leighton Moss for a while until the tide went out but enjoyed it so much that we spent most of the day there. The highlight was this beautiful marsh harrier that we watched flying and swooping for about ten minutes.
We also enjoyed our first ever sighting of a pair of great white egrets.
We just had time for a shortened version of our planned walk before returning to Arnside for a meal.
In the evening we went to a most interesting talk on the creatures under the water of Morecambe Bay. It was lovely to see Knottman2 and Mrs. K, they had kindly told me about the event.
