The visitors

The steep road up the hill to Holy Trinity church had some visitors this afternoon, as a gang of hens - or a cockerel and his coven - went exploring among the wet leaves and the rhododendrons. If you're unfamiliar with the church, this photo, taken from the first section of the driveway, shows the church peeping down from the top left-hand corner. The drive is steep, and most people are fairly puffed if they try to storm up  it.

The hens, however, seemed completely unruffled. Not something you'd see in a city church...
