Wet tulips
A different day today, a bit of a mizzle and grey but not cold - spring weather is definitely here to stay! My tulips have started blooming and this morning they were covered in rain drops, as can be seen here.
I met a friend for lunch and it was lovely to catch up and enjoy each other's company. Then off to the supermarket to get some things before going home where I found that Murdoch's new bed had been delivered. He is naughty and had chewed the corners off his old one so the stuffing was coming out - it was a few years old so a new one was due. They say you can wash them but there is no way I will put that in my washing machine, and they are not very expensive so it is better to rather buy a new one every 3 or 4 years. He looked a bit concerned when he saw me throw the old one outside to be taken to the waste disposal site this weekend and eyed the new one suspiciously - but within a short time he had settled in it and looked quite at home.
We are going to friends for supper tonight - our old neighbours from our previous house - and it will be lovely to catch up on each other's news.
After my clean out of photography magazines yesterday, this weekend we have a bigger project - the storage spaces in the loft and the garden shed. I think many black bags will be needed!
