Spring is sprung

It was a glorious spring day today. In the two weeks since we returned home, the almond blossom has finished, the fresh green leaves are springing, and the blackthorn is out. So this one's for Flower Friday, hosted by BikerBear. 

S was down in the garden doing gardening things while I sat there enjoying the sunshine and reading yet another book group book; now I'm in two, I don't seem to have time to read anything else. This month it's The Great Gatsby (English) and Elena Ferrante's My Brilliant Friend (French). One re-read, one new read. I hadn't remembered how short Gatsby (last read c. 1973) is; I finished it over a couple of days.
