Camera Obscura

What a day! Eldest's big birthday day out in Scotland's capital:

1 - Our Dynamic Earth (time machine, volcanoes, ice age, dinosaurs, 3D cinema, the Dome Show all about Darwin, guy dressed up as dinosaur and, best of all, we got to hold an Olympic torch!)

2 - Lunch at the Black Medicine Cafe (paninis and oreo milkshakes. Yum!)

3 - Up the Royal Mile (pierced woman, floating man, spanish guitar man, mohicaned weaver, silver knight, mirrored lady and invisible man)

4 - Camera Obscura where this photo of eldest is taken (room full of people wishing eldest happy birthday, freaky holograms, magnifying lenses, magic pictures, illusions, mirror maze, completely disorienting walk through a moving room, bleurgh!)

5 - National Museum (whizz, whizz, whizz, shuts at 5, hurry up!)

6 - Back down to Holyrood (nipped to Tescos for Monster Munch and Wotsits, watching people paddling outside parliament)

7 - Home (chilli, red wine, Spongebob Squarepants DVD)

8 - Zzzzzzzzzzzzz......................
