Down to the river

Just time to walk down in to Castle Vale Park again before the bus was due to leave this afternoon. This path goes down to the River Tweed. Really must find time, some day, to spend a bit more time in the park and explore its paths. Lots of spring plants in flower at the top of the steps - primroses, cowslips and some fabulous red hellebores, among others.

Home to find that MrM's under the weather, possibly suffering from some sort of stomach bug. So we didn't go down to Rothbury for an 'open mic' session as planned; I'm quite glad really, it's been a tiring week.  Instead it's a quiet evening lounging in front of the TV. May indulge in a wee dram (medicinal, of course) before an early night.
