J Rooke Corbett

Travelled up to the Rucksack Club hut Craigallan just north of Ballachulish in grey clag, so no chance of capturing the astounding views all around. The blue moon stayed well and truly hidden. So an indoor blip of John Rooke Corbett, better known as J. Rooke Corbett one of the founder-members of The Rucksack Club. In the 1920s Corbett compiled a list of hills between 2500 and 3000 feet with a prominence of at least 500 feet which Scottish hillwalkers will be extremely familiar with. This is him peering down from the wall in the dining room - good man!
