Adventure

Raj had a huge adventure today. He had his once in 5 years treat or disaster, not sure which way he regards this adventure. Paladian left a door open by chance (Raj lives 100% inside the house) and he can practically smell open doors. It was not long before he decide he'd go through the doggy door and out on an adventure. His great escape.

I noted the house was very quiet and that Raj he was missing from his usual haunts. Then I saw the open door. I soon spotted him hiding under the kitchen balcony at the side of the house.

The problem with Raj is that once he goes outside, he gets terrified because he does not know where he is or what to do next. He compensated for his fear by screaming as if he is being tortured. He will not let us approach him.

Now Mishy takes up the story to save the day. She went up to Raj, gave him a nose bump and a lick and had a word in his ear. Or maybe a few thought transfers, and reassured him. Raj calmed right down immediately, and agreed to go around to the back door and back inside the house. All on his own.

Mishy is the heroine and was well rewarded with her favourite chicken stick treat. So glad the plan worked because last time it took 6 hours to get Raj back inside the house. That was before Mishy had been born. Raj does not know what cars are, and thank goodness he did not get out onto the street.
