The Lochore Open

A really braw afternoon through in Lochore, watching my auntie taking part in the Open Mixed Pairs bowling. Had a nice lunch in the club house and then spent the afternoon sitting in the sunshine (which would occasionally disappear and get quite chilly) and then nipping back to the clubhouse for some home baking! I had a slice, well a slab, of chocolate cake that cost 50p - it might well be the best 50p I have spent in a long time!

Auntie and her playing partner did well, undefeated with two draws and a win in the group but unfortunately it wasn't enough to get them through to the quarters....so we went back to the clubhouse (again) for a bowl of soup before heading home. (with a few raffle prizes and another piece of chocolate cake). Robs really wants to give it a go and the club president has said to my aunty he can take her on to the green and let her have a go with the junior bowls.

A busy week ahead and an early night would be good idea but the fireworks to end the Edinburgh Festival take place in a wee while and we get a great view from our driveway.
