BGS
After an early morning kids trip to the cinema, we spent the day in Saltaire - a picturesque Victorian village, now a World Heritage Site.
Saltaire was founded by Sir Titus Salt, an industrialist in the Yorkshire woollen industry. The name is a combination of his surname (Salt) and the name of the river (Aire) on which it resides.
Oh yeah, he also went to my school.
Rather than bring you a postcard shot of the places to see, which you can view across any tourist pages, I decided to use this shot for today. Don't know why, but this street shot just tickles my fancy! ;)
Many thanks for looking/comments/stars!
