Cow in Landscape - Applecross

We stayed in Torridon last night which meant a long drive from  the Scottish Crofting Federation "Gathering" after dinner and a long drive back this morning before I spoke.

We took  the "new road" along the shore and even though it was dark it was possible to see across  the water to  a variety of lights on Raasay, Rona and Skye and then to a well illuminated well-boat over towards Diabeg.  

This morning coming back the same way there was a smirr of rain and some low cloud  but shafts of sunlight occasionally illuminated the islands. whilst the  spectacular nature of the coast and the road made for a wonderful start to the day.
