Who's watching who?

What a magical walk!  I set out from home quite late (on purpose), about 45 minutes before sunset in the hope of seeing a couple of woodpeckers who spend a lot of time in a particular tree on the Chevin.  They weren't there, but returning to the same spot as we saw deer a couple of weeks ago, I saw the same three again!  Half an hour before sunset, the animals were on the move.  This time, I was better prepared with a telephoto.  This was the best of the dozen or so shots I took.

The rest of the walk was great - flat light at that time of day seemed to bring all the right colours and tones out.  Very satisfying.
