Sunset over Park of Keir
It’s over two months since the Park of Keir Public Inquiry and we are still waiting to hear the Scottish Government decision.
Will they decide to rule in favour of Judy Murray’s dream tennis academy on our Greenbelt even though she has now put her house up for sale and will be moving south?
Todays Stirling Observer asked this question of our local Members of Parliament who didn’t know either. The question was also put to the Scottish Government who said it was “a complex planning application.”
Untrue. It’s perfectly straightforward. It breaks every rule in planning law and the application is riding on the back of a local celebrity (Judy Murray) whose name is not even on the planning application nor is she a member of Park of Keir Partners which is composed of the developer and his immediate family.
The developer has fought for over 25 years to get permission to build houses on Park of Keir and Judy Murray is merely the Trojan horse to break into the Greenbelt, which separates the historic towns of Dunblane and Bridge of Allan.
This is a vanity project and she is being used by a housing developer. End of story.
