Caravan prep
We didn't get up until 9. A lovely lie in which we all needed. Especially as id got a lot planned for today.
Jon cooked eggs for breakfast. They were lovely and fresh with huge yolks. Home gown are definitely best!
An hour in Sheringham wandering up the high street and through the market. There I made a mental note of veg and fruit prices, and will go there next week for those items instead of Morrisons. We had coffee at the North Norfolk Railway cafe when Henry picked up a pack for volunteers. He is going to apply.
Back home, Mollie & I made three batches of small fruit scones for her friends party tonight, to go with rocky road, flap jack and brownies she had already made!
A quick lunch and then we all started on the caravan. A mammoth clean, hoover and then fill. The trailer tent had to somehow be opened up (which Henry & I did) then everything of any use moved over to the caravan. As you can see from the photo we managed it. Very grateful for lovely dry warm weather.
I managed half an hour in the garden too, pruning some dead bits. More of that tomorrow if it stays dry, but planting seeds if not.
After Mollie was delivered to her party in Northrepps, we went to get fish and chips, sitting overlooking the sea & pier to eat them. I don't think I will ever tire of that view. I reminded Jon about how everytime we visited Norfolk for a weekend, that we wished we could stay up here forever.
Now we are going to watch a film. Just two of us. Henry has taken duvet, pillow, tv, playstation and hot water bottle out to the caravan.
I enjoy Saturdays. More than one a week would be good....
